Want to be a Racing Driver? Think Again

"Auto racing, bull fighting, and mountain climbing are the only real sports...all others are games." - Ernest Hemingway
Racing cars is a serious thing and accidents are a regular occurrence. As much of a thrill as the profession/hobby provides, there will always be a serious risk of injury or even death. Perhaps Ernest Hemingway summed it up best: "Auto racing, bull fighting, and mountain climbing are the only real sports...all others are games." And now comes this video of a racing driver who had himself an accident by flipping the car over on its side. That liquid spilling out on to the pavement is gasoline.
It quickly ignites and the driver is caught in the flames for just a second or so before escaping with his life. The crash occurred at Mahoning Valley Speedway in Lehigh, Pennsylvania. Amazingly, the driver managed to complete the race once the fire was extinguished. Hap tip to ScottyM.
